PE100 Material Introduction

PE100 (Polyethylene 100 Grade) is a third generation high-density polyethylene (HDPE) material with excellent mechanical properties and chemical corrosion resistance. Its name is derived from the international standard ISO 12162, which means that the minimum required strength (MRS) reaches 10MPa (100bar) and can withstand long-term hydrostatic pressure. Compared with PE80, PE100 has significant improvements in the following aspects:

Higher pressure resistance: working pressure increased by more than 25%

Stronger crack propagation resistance: resistance to slow crack growth (SCG) increased by 10 times

Longer service life: design life can reach 50-100 years

Installation and quality control points

Hot melt connection process

Heating plate temperature: 200±10℃

Heat absorption time: wall thickness×10 seconds/mm

Cooling time ≥1.5 times heating time

Pressure level selection:

Low pressure system (≤0.6MPa): PN6

Medium pressure system (0.8-1.6MPa): PN10-PN16

High pressure system (≥2.0MPa): PN20-PN25
