How do you close the end of a PVC pipe?

1. Use PVC End Cap

Applicable scenarios: Suitable for most PVC pipes, such as drainage pipes, cable pipes, irrigation systems, etc.

Steps:

Measure the outer diameter of the PVC pipe and select a PVC end cap of matching size.

Clean the end of the pipe to ensure there is no dust or oil.

Put the end cap directly on and press it with your hands to ensure a tight fit.

If a higher seal is required, apply PVC glue to the outer wall of the pipe before installation.

Advantages: Simple installation, low cost, good waterproof and dustproof effect.

2. Use rubber plugs or expansion plugs

Applicable scenarios: pipes that are temporarily closed or need to be opened repeatedly (such as laboratories and test pipes).

Steps:

Choose a rubber plug or expansion plug of appropriate size.

Insert directly into the end of the pipe and use elastic sealing.

Advantages: Removable and easy to reuse.

3. Wrap tape or waterproof glue (temporary solution)

Applicable scenarios: short-term dust and moisture protection, such as protecting pipes during renovation.

Steps:

Wrap the pipe end with multiple layers of waterproof tape (such as PVC tape, electrical tape).

Or apply silicone/sealant to cover the pipe mouth, and form a closed layer after curing.

Advantages: simple operation and extremely low cost.
