Product Overview
PVC Equal Tee is a pipe connector made of high-strength polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material, mainly used for branch pipes of the same diameter on the main pipe. This product has the characteristics of compact structure, reliable connection, and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in pipeline systems in the fields of water supply and drainage, chemical industry, agricultural irrigation, power communication, etc.
PVC Equal Tee Features
Equal diameter design
The three interface pipes have the same diameter to ensure that the pressure of the fluid is balanced when it is divided or converged, reducing resistance loss.
High strength and pressure resistance
Using high-quality PVC raw materials, injection molding, strong pressure bearing capacity, suitable for low-pressure pipeline systems.
Excellent corrosion resistance
It has good tolerance to acids, alkalis, salts and various chemical media, and is suitable for corrosive environments such as chemical industry and sewage treatment.
Good sealing
The socket-type interface is bonded with PVC glue to form a permanent seal to prevent leakage.
Convenient installation
No complex tools are required, and the installation can be completed quickly by gluing, with high construction efficiency.
Specifications
Material: UPVC (rigid PVC), CPVC (chlorinated PVC)
Interface type: socket, thread
Size range: DN20~DN400 (customization supported)
Pressure level: PN10, PN16
Applicable temperature: -10℃~+60℃ (UPVC), -20℃~+95℃ (CPVC)
PVC Equal Tee Application Areas
Building water supply and drainage: branching of tap water pipes, diversion of sewage discharge systems.
Chemical pipelines: diversion and transportation of corrosive media.
Agricultural irrigation: branch pipe connection of drip irrigation and sprinkler irrigation systems.
Electric power communication: branch line layout of cable protection pipes.
Installation instructions
Socket-type installation
Clean the pipe and pipe fitting interfaces to ensure that there is no oil or dust.
Apply PVC special glue, quickly insert the three-way interface and rotate 90° to evenly distribute the glue.
Keep it fixed for 10-15 seconds and wait for the glue to cure (reach maximum strength in about 24 hours).
Threaded installation
Wrap sealing tape around the threads or apply thread sealant.
After manually tightening, use tools to moderately reinforce to avoid cracking caused by over-tightening.
Precautions
Choose UPVC (universal) or CPVC (high temperature/strong corrosion resistance) according to the characteristics of the medium.
Pressure test is required after installation to ensure no leakage.
What is the difference between equal tee and unequal tee?
Equal diameter tees and reducing tees (unequal diameter tees) are two common branch connectors in pipeline systems. Their main differences are reflected in structure, use and fluid characteristics. The following is a detailed comparison between the two:
1. Structure and appearance
Equal diameter tees: The diameters of the three interfaces are exactly the same, usually used for diverting or converging pipes of the same diameter.
Reducing tees: The diameters of the main pipe and the branch pipe are different. Usually the main pipe has a larger diameter and the branch pipe has a smaller diameter. It is suitable for connecting pipes of different diameters.
2. Application scenarios
Equal diameter tees:
Applicable to systems that require uniform diversion or converging, such as fluid transportation in water supply and drainage, petroleum, chemical and other industries.
Commonly used for stable flow of media such as gas and liquid to reduce pressure loss.
Reducing tees:
Mainly used for connecting pipes of different diameters, such as the need for diameter change in construction and municipal engineering.
Applicable to systems that need to adjust flow or change flow rate, such as industrial pipeline branches.
3. Influence of fluid characteristics
Equal diameter tees: The pressure of the fluid is balanced when diverting or converging, and the flow resistance is small.
Reducing tee: Due to the change in pipe diameter, local resistance may occur, and the influence of fluid dynamics needs to be considered.
4. Maintenance and replacement
Equal diameter tee: When replacing, only the joint with the same pipe diameter needs to be matched, and maintenance is relatively simple.
Reducing tee: It is necessary to ensure that the pipe diameter of the new joint matches the original system, and replacement is slightly complicated
